As a part of the 'Ayushman India' project, two initiatives have been announced in the new budget.
National Health Promotion Project: The government will provide an annual health insurance of Rs 5 lakhs for each family covered under this project. This will benefit about 10 million families. The finance minister said that this is still the largest health care project in the world.
Construction of Health Centers: One and a half million health centers will be set up across the country. These centers will provide free medicines and treat people. 1200 crore taka has been allocated in this project.
